本专刊与2022年CCF中国软件大会（CCF Chinasoft 2022）合作。投稿本专刊并通过第一轮评审的国内论文作者需要注册参加本次大会并在“基础软件质量保障”论坛上进行论文报告交流。
With the rapid development of the technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence and big data, software systems are inseparable from people's daily lives. In many security critical systems, such as high-speed train control systems, aerospace control systems, nuclear reactor control systems, medical equipment control systems, etc., any error may lead to serious consequences. Currently, most of the work focus on the research for the security and reliability of application software. However, the basic software provides the necessary operation and development environments for the application software. Basic software includes operating systems, middleware, database management systems, development environments, industrial control protocols, deep learning platforms, etc. They play an important role in supporting the construction of the whole system. Therefore, it is urgent and critical to guarantee the quality of the basic software.
Topics
The list of topics includes but not limited to:
（1） Technologies to guarantee the quality of operating systems
（2） Theory and technologies for database software quality assurance
（3） Technologies aim at assuring or improving the quality of industrial protocol software
（4） Quality evaluation and insurance of virtual machine and other virtualization platforms
（5） Middleware quality assurance and assessment
（6） Quality evaluation models and technologies for intelligent computing platforms
（7） Quality assurance of design and analysis software, such as model-driven development platforms
（8） Technologies to evaluate the quality of distributed systems or blockchain platforms
（9） Real-time protection technologies for basic software
（10） Fault detection, localization and repairment for basic software
Submission Guidelines
Authors should prepare their manuscript according to the Guide for Authors of the Software: Evolution and Process. The submission site is http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jsme.
Please select “Quality Assurance of Basic Software” in the submission system. All the papers will be peer-reviewed following the Software: Evolution and Process reviewing procedures. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
If the submission is an extended work of a previously published conference /workshop paper, you must submit a cover letter/document detailing: (1) the "Summary of Differences" between the Conference/workshop paper and extended version paper, (2) a clear list of "new and original" ideas/contributions in the extended version paper (identifying sections where they are proposed/presented), (3) confirmation of the percentage of new material (at least 30%), and (4) the previously published conference/workshop paper.
